Mostly we just try to write good songs & play real good
Wave the Ocean is a trio of musicians doing things they really like. Without putting on airs, their songs present fresh takes on American music, and walk the line between sarcasm and earnestness, simplicity and sophistication, the southern small town and the greater world. Ben Ayers’ songwriting is completed by the virtuosic playing & thoughtful accompaniment of Ryan Brown on bass and AJ Covey on percussion. The band works to create new worlds in every song, melding everything from Irish fiddle tunes to ancient Indian-Classical rhythms to make something truly unique with every release.
