With equal ease and finesse, No. 1 Billboard-charting artist Lucas Hoge can craft a song, cast a line or call in a turkey in front of a film crew, all while holding an audience's attention on stage when performing. As a warm, engaging television host on "Hoge Wild," his own weekly series airing Monday nights at 7/6c on Sportsman Channel, Lucas takes viewers across the globe as he travels to New Zealand, Bolivia, Africa and unchartered territory in North America. With a guitar in one hand and a bow in the other, Lucas treks the world to amplify his passion for the outdoors and change the narrative around conservation with each "Hoge Wild" episode.
Lucas' journey all began and continues with a song, though. The Hubbell, Nebraska native, whose hometown boasts a population of 44, is currently in the studio with a hit producer as he polishes new music set for release in late 2020 and early 2021.
For more than two years, Lucas has been bringing his gospel "Sunday Sessions" to his fans every week, with Country Rebel as a video partner on Hoge's 8 a.m. CST stream. After amassing more than 25 million views in early 2020, Hoge released live recordings of fan-favorite gospel songs "Sweet By and By" and "Power in the Blood." During the COVID pandemic, Lucas dominated live streaming while engaging and growing his fan base with weekly virtual concerts that consistently amassed audience numbers in the Top Ten on Pollstar's Weekly Livestream Chart alongside DMX, Snoop Dogg, Luke Combs, BTS and others.
Lucas Hoge's drive to connect with people permeates everything he does. He’s a tireless humanitarian who loves animals and is a passionate supporter of the U.S. military. He combines both as the official spokesperson for Guardian Angels for a Soldiers Pet, a group that fosters animals for soldiers deployed overseas. The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation also named Lucas their first Ambassador. He’s also performed for troops throughout the Middle East and beyond for more than 12 years as part of the Wrangler National Patriot Tour.
In Hubbell, his childhood penchant for writing poetry evolved into writing songs and he studied the work of his favorite craftsmen like Garth Brooks, Paul Overstreet, Kenny Chesney and others who penned their own hits.
Once he moved to Nashville, Lucas' willingness to work hard combined with his songwriting prowess proved to be a winning combination. Warner Bros. featured his song “If I Only Could” on the hit TV show “Smallville.” Soon after, he began racking up numerous TV, film and commercial credits. He scored a 13-episode series for HBO, wrote a jingle for Lipton Tea and appeared with Faith Hill in the TV campaign for Sunday Night Football. He wrote the title song and starred in the Animal Planet TV show “Last Chance Highway,” a reality show focused on rescuing dogs and transporting them to their forever homes. He also penned the theme song “Give a Damn” for the GAC TV show “Tom’s Wild Life.” Although appreciative of the chance to place his songs in numerous TV shows, recording his own albums and touring continued to be Hoge’s primary focus.
Lucas made his Ryman Auditorium debut in 2011 opening for the legendary George Jones, and he’s shared the stage with Rascal Flatts, Luke Bryan, Craig Morgan, Martina McBride, Hank Williams Jr. and others. His emotionally-charged single "Wishin' I Was Fishin'" paid tribute to his father, which he debuted on stage at the Grand Ole Opry the day he co-wrote it with Philip Lammonds. Lucas' full-length album Dirty South ascended to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Country Album Sales chart during its debut week, and since then he's ascended to the Top 30 on Billboard's Country Singles chart.
He's passionate about his partnerships with companies like: Gamble Family Vineyards, Salt Life, GoPro, Batteries Plus, GSM Outdoors, Walkers, Stealth Cam, Muddy, Sherwood Scuba, Akona Adventures and more.
Lucas Hoge's restless creative spirit, abundance of Midwestern charm and a work ethic that won’t let him slow down, it looks like the best is yet to come.
