“Released back in February, their 7-track EP 'Mirrored Images' encapsulates every aspect of the band's sound and influences, making it easily their best work to date. Bringing into account anything from pop punk and alternative to even metal, Parris Bridge have proven themselves to be a highly versatile rock outfit. 'Bipolar' is especially prominent in this notion, with both the high-pitched screams and deep, guttural vocals combining into what is arguably the heaviest track on the record, bar maybe 'Hit & Run'. 'Bipolar' also ends on a prolonged scream, one that tells you everything you need to know about the band's musical direction. This doesn't mean that the band can't bring the tone down a tad and focus on the alternative elements. 'If Happiness Is What You Reach For' and 'Sympathy' express a more controlled atmosphere, replacing the screams for catchy riffs and even more infectious choruses. Furthermore, the penultimate track 'Weathered' pushes the more sombre instrumentation even further, with the echoed guitars and vocals having an almost ethereal tone; the spoken-word lyricism within this track further supports this sincerity.
