Kirkos is an experimental rock band crawling out of the St. Louis underground.
With a wide array of influences such as John Carpenter, King Crimson, Talking Heads, Phish, Medeski Martin & Wood, and Umphreys Mcgee, Kirkos bends genres to create moody soundscapes with expansive terrains that reflect the decay of their urban environment.
Band Members:
- Jacob Brooks – Keys
- Jordan Allen – Bass
- AJ Halcrow – Guitar
- Myles Jaffe – Drums
Kirkos formed in the fall of 2021 after longtime friends and collaborators Jacob Brooks (keys) and Jordan Allen (bass) moved to St Louis to pursue a musical project with Myles Jaffe (drums) after meeting while all living in Colorado. After practicing as a trio for a short while, AJ Halcrow (guitar) came into the picture through mutual friends and shared musical interests. The first practice together really brought the vision into focus, and the music followed suit- creating a unique and refreshing sound which continues to evolve each performance.
Since debuting in February of 2022, Kirkos has played a number of shows at historied venues such as The Empty Glass, Pops Blue Moon, Old Rock House, and more.
