Rare Seed is a 5-piece NOLA-based psychedelic rock outfit that takes as many notes from the sonic recipe books of early Tame Impala and Thee Oh Sees as it does from the avant-pop of Stereolab. With traces of prog, punk, tropicália and blues, Rare Seed adopts aspects and moods of everyday living and pumps them through a filter of melancholic whimsy to potent effect. Ethereal soundscapes, shifting times and tempos, pulsating rhythms, and melodic hooks are just some of what you can expect to hear in their brand of music
